doei 2011, welkom 2012

pejam celik pejam celik dah habis satu tahun. where did the time go? it feels like yesterday je i was in paris with auntie ya and family. so here i am. 1 year older, 1 year wiser (am i? hmmmmm), 5 kilos heavier (if not heavier), 1 job richer (alhamdulillah), 1 wardrobe fuller (ALHAMDULILLAH :D)

so what is my new year’s resolution? should i even bother? i’ve have the same 2 resolutions since i was 19 yang sampai la ni tak achieve. but then again, maybe i should so that at least i have my own personal kpi hoh?

my bimbo side resolutions

  • lose 5 kilos - this is one of the resolutions yang tak tercapai sampai sekarang. i lost it before my wedding so that i tak nampak like a creampuff in my wedding dress. but straight after that plup plup plup bagai dipam2
  • talk in a lower voice so that i sound sexayyy - ok, anyone who knows me personally tau i have a very chipmunk-y voice. i even got offered to do voiceover for cartoons because of my cartoonish voice. but this too has been on my list for a long, looooong time. let’s see if i’ll sound like angelina jolie this year. ahaks
  • make more effort to look presentable all the time - 1st step, chuck all my baju gedeboh2 for staying at home. just because i’m married my husband shouldn’t have to be with a slob at home

my serious side resolutions

  • to smile more - i’m well known for the grumpy look + the frown lady
  • to show my appreciation to people around me - especially to the bus driver in the am when i catch the bus. harold for being him. my parents. my lovely friends
  • be courteous - and not to sink to other people’s level when it comes to public transport. if people want to cut queue, let them. you, sara, don’t cut
  • be more patient - hmmmm, i need to really work on this
  • be more thankful and count my blessings - yeah, life may be hard sometimes, but always to remind myself, there are others having a rougher time than me. some envying my life, my luck. and i should be thankful to Allah for all the rezeki i’ve received. alhamdulillah
  • speak at least 70% dutch
  • speak proper english - this will be one of my toughest challenges. i can speak proper english  but i always get real lazy and then i switch mode to madam sara kwan mode. but what to do so nice la speak like that
  • improve more on my islam knowledge - for me and harold
  • less swearing

now 2012, don’t move too fast. let me enjoy you a bit. and please bring more sunny days along and leave those frosty cold days to 2011. please be extra long in march and april since i’ll be in malaysia. and in may too :D
